In 2016 ILCOR and AHA announced that they would be updating the Guidelines every year instead of every 5 years starting in 2017. In October ILCOR and AHA followed through on this policy change and announced significant changes to the recommendations for CPR/BLS. The following short video provides a summary that can be used by any NIHE Instructor to introduce these changes to their students and explain how these changes will be taught and practiced during their BLS, ACLS, or PALS course.
