American Heart Association ACLS Instructor

To become an AHA PALS Instructor requires several steps. They are:
        1.     Posess a valid American Heart Association PALS Provider card
2.       Complete the AHA Core Instructor course. This is a mandatory course in adult education and is a prerequisite to the BLS Instructor course.
3.       Complete the BLS Instructor course. This course covers the curriculum, administration, and management of an AHA BLS course.
4.     Complete the PALS Instructor course.
5.       Monitored student teaching.
6.       Affiliation with an AHA Training Center.
This course is designed to prepare the knowlegeable and qualified candidate to become an PALS instructor.  Candidates wishing to go on to become appointed Course Directors must participate in presenting a minimum of 8 provider courses under a Course Director before they are eligible to be considered  for appointment as a Course Director.  If you have any questions please email our Director for Instructor Development Vincent Puterbaugh at Vincent.nihe@gmail.com or call him at 909-824-0400.
