The new e-Learning program for ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).

Every year hundreds of thousands of working health-care professionals and first responders renew their ACLS or PALS certifications with the American Heart Association.  But at times learners, instructors and administrators find traditional courses inconvenient.

HeartCode® ACLS Part 1 (90-1405) requires Windows XP or Mac OSX, with Internet Explorer 7+ or Firefox 2+. HeartCode programs are not supported by Apple Safari.

HeartCode ACLS  or Heartcode PALS provides an alternative training solution for the busy professional.  It’s the only e-Learning system where a successful outcome results in an AHA course completion card.

This self-directed learning product has a simplified user interface that uses microsimulation technology to present realistic patient scenarios. While interacting with the program, students assess each patient, formulate a treatment plan based on 2005 ACLS & PALS Guidelines, and provide treatment. Successful completion of the cognitive component, paired with skills verification provided by an AHA  instructor, meets the requirements for the issuing of an AHA ACLS or PALS provider card to the participant. This product is approved by EMS providers and the Accreditation Department for Continuing Education for nurses, doctors, and pharmacists by their respective credentialing bodies (AACN, ACCME, ACPE, and CECBEMS). NOTE: This product is not eligible for our standard 30-day return policy.

Please note that AHA PALS E-Learning requires a CD which will be sent to you via Priority mail.  AHA ACLS E-Learning is available as an online download or on a CD.

There are some other online programs available but we do not recommend these as they are NOT APPROVED BY THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION and you will not be issued an American Heart Association ACLS card after completing any of the other online courses.  (source: http//www.wataugamc.org/doc/tc/lifeline.pdf and ACLS.net) Many medical instituttions will accept ONLY American Heart Association ACLS or PALS cards as AHA is the "gold" standard when it comes to resusciation medicine.
