Earn an official American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED eCard without attending a traditional group class. Self-Guided CPR/AED combines the convenience of online learning with an individual, hands-on skills session using an American Heart Association voice-guided feedback manikin.
First, complete the American Heart Association online course at your convenience. After completing the online portion, contact NIHE to schedule your individual Self-Guided CPR/AED appointment during one of our available scheduling blocks in Palestine, Texas or Dallas, Texas.
During your appointment, a virtual instructor will guide you step by step as you practice and demonstrate the required CPR and AED skills. The feedback manikin evaluates your performance and provides immediate coaching to help you improve your technique. You can work privately and at your own pace without waiting for a regularly scheduled group class.
After successfully completing both the online course and the hands-on skills session, you will receive an official American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion eCard, valid for two years.

This course is designed for people with little or no medical training who need CPR and AED training for employment, regulatory requirements, volunteer responsibilities, or personal preparedness. It may be appropriate for teachers, childcare workers, church staff and volunteers, workplace employees, coaches, parents, caregivers, and other members of the community.
Important: This Heartsaver course is not the same as BLS for healthcare professionals. If your employer requires an American Heart Association BLS Provider card, please register for AHA HeartCode BLS Online With an Instructor-Led Skills Session instead. If you are uncertain which course your employer requires, please confirm with your employer before registering.
