How Registration Works

Step 1 — Register Online

Purchase your $139 Self-Guided First Aid CPR AED training package through NIHE's secure online shopping cart.

Step 2 — Schedule Your Appointment

After purchasing, call NIHE at 800-773-8895 or 903-903-1001.

Tell us whether you prefer Palestine or an available Dallas training date.

Purchasing your course does not automatically reserve an appointment.

Step 3 — Complete Your Online Learning

Follow the instructions provided by NIHE to access your American Heart Association online course.

Complete all required online learning before your scheduled hands-on skills appointment.

Step 4 — Bring Your Online Course Completion Certificate

You MUST bring a printed or electronic copy of your completed AHA online course certificate to your appointment.

The certificate contains the course completion number needed to access the applicable Self-Guided CPR training station.

You will need to enter that number into the station's tablet to begin your CPR and AED skills activities.

Without the required completion certificate and course number, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.

Step 5 — Complete Your Hands-On Skills Requirements

Attend your confirmed appointment and complete all required First Aid, CPR, and AED skills activities and assessments as applicable to the AHA course.

Step 6 — Receive Your Official AHA eCard

After successfully completing all required course components, you will receive your official American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion eCard.

AHA course completion cards are generally valid for two years.
