You already respond to emergencies.
Now you can teach others to do the same and build a flexible income stream in your community.
As an American Heart Association Instructor aligned with the National Institute for Healthcare Education, you can train healthcare providers, workplaces, and the public.
This is not just an instructor class.
This is a complete instructor development and business support system.
TWO WAYS INSTRUCTORS GROW WITH NIHE
Every instructor begins by becoming an American Heart Association Instructor aligned with the NIHE Training Center.
After certification, instructors typically follow one of two professional pathways depending on their goals.
Teach for Your Employer
Many instructors teach within their hospital, EMS agency, corporation, or educational institution.
- Hospitals and healthcare systems
- EMS and fire departments
- Corporate safety programs
- Colleges and training institutions
These instructors train staff and students while helping their organizations maintain strong CPR and resuscitation training systems.
Start Your Own CPR Training Business
Some instructors choose to build independent CPR and resuscitation training businesses in their communities.
- Teach healthcare providers
- Train local businesses
- Offer community CPR classes
- Develop contracts with organizations
Many NIHE instructors begin part-time and grow into full training companies serving their region.
As instructors gain experience, many expand further by developing Training Programs, Training Sites, and eventually Training Center Faculty roles within the NIHE system.
