Become an AHA Instructor
BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPR, & 1st Aid

To become an AHA Instructor for BLS, ACLS, or PALS you must complete all of the following steps:

American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Instructor

To become an AHA BLS Instructor requires several steps. In addition to having a BLS card they are:

1. Complete the AHA Core Instructor course. This is a mandatory course in adult education and is a prerequisite to the BLS Instructor course (this course is included in the cost of our BLS Instructor Course).

2. Complete the BLS Instructor course. This course covers the curriculum, administration, and management of an AHA BLS course.

3. Monitored student teaching.

4. Affiliation with an AHA Training Center.

All of these steps are included in our BLS Instructor package which also, includes the BLS Instructor Manual and the Core Instructor workbook. We offer this course in Southern California at our Colton/Loma Linda location and in Walnut Creek for our Northern California instructors. To become an AHA ACLS Instructor requires several steps:

1. Prerequisite: a current AHA BLS Instructor card and be affiliated in good standing with an AHA Training Center.

2. Complete the ACLS Instructor Course. This course covers the curriculum, administration, and management of an AHA ACLS course.

3. Monitored student teachings.

All of these steps are included in our ACLS Instructor package (except the prerequisite) which also, includes the ACLS Instructor Manual. We offer this course in Southern California at our Colton/Loma Linda location and in Vacaville for our Northern California instructors.
