“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked.  “Anything is possible if a person believes.”  Mark 9:23 NLT

Jesus tells us in this verse that all things are possible, “if a person believes”.  Note he doesn’t say if you come up with a great plan and work really hard, or if you think about it over and over and try to use your power to make it happen.

Every one of us has something in our lives that we would like to see change for the better—desiring change is normal part of a healthy person’s life.  However, the truth is you really can’t change most of your circumstances or yourself without God’s help, but with God’s help all things are possible.  Phil. 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength”.  This is a promise not just for Paul who lived 2000 years ago, but for each one of us today.

Ask God to put the desire in you to do what He wants you to do and then ask Him to enable you to do it.  I have found Phil. 2:13 to be a powerful promise.  It says, “For God is at work within you helping you to want to obey Him, and then helping you to do what He wants.”

Put your desire before God and ask Him to help you achieve it.  I have found that when I do this He works amazingly on my behalf and mountains do move!  Always be ready to do whatever God asks you to do, but don’t waste your time and energy trying to do things without Him.  One of my favorite verses is Ps. 37:4  “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Try it today and you will find that you will achieve much more and your life will be abundant and full of joy.  All things are truly possible with God.!
